Conservation and drying

The drying process is essential so that the ox gallstones can attain their best value
When collecting the ox gallstones by opening each gallbladder we do also strongly recommend to check the common bile duct and around the liver area where smaller gallstones may be found.
Once collected, they must be rinsed in cold water in order to remove impurities and bloodstains and then placed on a open card box, or absorbing paper, to improve the drying process.
During the whole process the gallstones must be kept away from sunlight in a well-ventilated place at room temperature avoiding extreme heat or cold (61°F to 77°F / 17°C to 25°C)
Its is also needed to turn the gallstones about two times a week to allow it to dry evenly.
We also specially require your attention on the fact that the whole process needs to be done very carefully and delicately as the ox gallstones ,being already naturally fragile, do become even more fragile once dried and inadvertently breaking them would decrease their commercial value, which would be  pity.
The whole process do take about 2 to 3 weeks and once completed your Ox Gallstones are ready for us to buy them!
